The high school will offer two forms of summer courses: credit acceleration and credit recovery to all high school students. 26 Nutritious free meals are available for children and teens 18 and younger at several locations throughout Williamsport during the summer while school is out of session. Genovese comes to the district from the Benton Area School District, where she most recently served as its K-12 director of curriculum and instruction and director of grant writing and federal programs. Brandon Coleman was recently named Supervisor of Pupil Transportation and School Safety at WASD. The contest features schools from Lycoming and Sullivan counties.
Coleman, who begins April 1, comes to WASD from Keystone Central School District, where he’s held the position of the district’s supervisor of police and transportation since 2009. Please be advised that extensive roadwork will begin in the Newberry section of Williamsport beginning Monday, April 1, and is expected to last through the end of August.
